Metallic-blue flower heads are surrounded by a spiky skirt of vibrant purple bracts, and flowers are quite long lasting! Silvery, veined foliage transforms to white in the summer, and is complemented by the unique blooms from midsummer to fall. Stems can be cut back after flowering, but many gardeners choose to leave the attractive seed heads untouched. A favourite among butterflies. Perfect for the backs of borders and containers, Sea Holly is also popular in bouquets and dried arrangements. Highly tolerant of heat and resistant to drought. Eryngium x zabelii.
