Bold, magenta-pink colouring light up late-summer days
Remarkable form and bold colouring make this English variety a standout in perennial gardens, floral displays and containers. Growing 45 cm tall, Carl Sedum has a more compact habit than Autumn Joy Sedum. It distinguishes itself with the large clusters of brilliant, magenta-pink flower heads that grow on its reddish stems in late summer and early fall. The rounded, slightly serrated, grey-green leaves form a densely mounded, upright clump. Also called a stonecrop, Carl Sedum provides colour when many perennials are fading into fall. This drought-tolerant perennial needs well-drained soil and a nice sunny spot in the garden. It attracts bees and butterflies.
