When introduced over 150 years ago, gardeners fell in love with Duchesse de Nemours Peony's exquisite white flowers that were tinged with green at the base. The soft and fluffy-looking flowers are very fragrant and stunning in the garden and cut-flower displays. This RHS Award of Garden Merit winner has remained a favourite for generations of gardeners. Like other peonies, Duchesse de Nemours is versatile and long lived. It's strikingly beautiful in mixed perennial beds or when grouped together along fences or walkways—and it comes back reliably every year. This sun-loving perennial has lush, very ornamental foliage. Deer usually pass it by.
