Award winner with intriguing and colourful leaves
The leaf patterns on Wide Brim Hosta are sure to draw garden visitors a little closer. The heart-shaped, dark green leaves have irregular margins in tones of ivory to buttery yellow. Simply stunning! In the summertime, bell-shaped, pale lavender blooms open on slender stalks above the mounded foliage and invite butterflies and bees to visit. This simple-to-grow shade perennial offers good slug resistance. Growing up to 70 cm in height, it's a good hosta for growing as a ground cover in woodland or shade gardens, as a foundation planting or alongside a walkway. These low-maintenance plants can be left alone for years and allowed to spread. Wide Brim Hosta is a recipient of the Royal Horticultural Society's prestigious Award of Garden Merit.
