A showstopper in bouquets, borders or naturalized landscapes.
Imposing blooms come highly recommended by our Dutch garden experts. Perfect spheres are actually hundreds of clustered, star-shaped, purpleblue florets. They create a dazzling effect as they appear to rise almost overnight, adding a unique flower colour to the landscape. And like all alliums, they drive rodents, aphids and even slugs away from the garden!Allium aflatunense 'Purple Sensation'

These alliums are not blue, as reviewed by others, but they are stunning, light purple, tall and straight. I am hoping to see bablies next year, or else I will buy more for the Back yard.
They are actually purple

Although they are purple and not blue they are still beautiful and easy to care for and come back year after year and the bees love them
Wonderful and unusual

These were a lovely surprise - the tallest flower in my late spring bed, hovering over the hyacinths and tulips. Yes, a bit more towards the purple side than the blue, but a gorgeous, rich indigo colour, and the seedheads are a show in themselves. Very strong stems held up even under our wide-open prairie winds.
Very showy flowers

True that they were not exactly blue, but rather more purple, those flowers were very nice and stayed quite a while, despite the colour was gone. They stand behind the tulips, because they were much higher.

This grows very well in Calgary with a south view. Ours have come up three years in a row. I am surprised that not too many people know what they are.

I am a beginner gardener and my neighbors were so impressed and I was surprised. The bag of bulbs came. I planted them and waited. Then these huge purple balls came up. They stayed passed every tulip and daffy and into July as an ornamental stem unit the wind took it away.
Disappointed

I was also disappointed that these flowers were purple-- without even a suggestion of blue. Definitely not named correctly!
