Abiqua Drinking Gourd Hosta is a rare beauty in shadowy landscape sites like shadowed borders, mixed container gardens and seasonal shade beds. It boasts substantial, dark green leaves that form intriguing cups of nearly 8 cm deep, and fend off slugs with little effort. The 45 cm tall, mounded plants are neat and add amazing colour to midsummer landscapes when 55 cm scapes emerge to bear lavender, bell-shaped blooms.
