While smaller than many glads, this delightful variety certainly isn't lacking when it comes to appeal. Its small, delicate blooms are hued rose-purple and feature a chartreuse margin on the lowest petals. In some of the flowers, the throat can be a bit purple. Charming Lady makes a terrific border plant, but save some for your cutting garden—it is lovely in a vase as well. This hybrid is so hardy, it does not require lifting in fall.Gladiolus tubergenii
