Hardy and gorgeous!
Lesser known than some of its close cousins, this long-lived variety has strikingly coloured blooms with lovely, heart[1]shaped petals. Plentiful, 5 cm cups of violet accented with dark veining, cover finely incised foliage, not only creating beautiful displays in borders, beds or rock gardens, but also attracting beneficial butterflies to the space. Grows from a tuber, so is considered a bulb and not a perennial.
