Once cultivated to be enjoyed at Victorian dinners and society soirées, the Globe Artichoke is now prized for its wonderful thistlelike blooms and silvery foliage. Plus, it grows to a stately 2.5 m tall, making it a fantastic anchor plant for mixed beds, cutting gardens or back borders.
