One of the best perennializers among low-growing tulips.
This vigorous, miniature tulip is a multiple award winner that would colourfully complement a border or terrace, or brighten the ground beneath a shrub or deciduous tree. Its long-lived, lilac-pink, 5 cm blooms open all the way back, allowing their bright yellow centres to shimmer in the sunlight. This unusual and distinctive tulip, a native of the Greek island of Crete, has received such prestigious honours as the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit. Bees Friendly
