Large, 18–20 cm balls of tiny purple florets are flushed lightly with snowy white for a frosty lilac appearance. The flower clusters are carried atop unique purple stems that rise to an amazing 165 cm in height. Summer Drummer, the longest-lasting allium around, is also an excellent perennializer that spreads and multiplies each year. Its scented blooms are great for drying.
