This old-world classic provides modern appeal with its variegated foliage and clusters of reddish-orange, bell-shaped blooms. Towering stems that sprout up to 120 cm in height carry these remarkable clusters of the downward-facing, 10 cm blossoms. Striking green leaves feature creamy yellow margins that give an extra bit of flair to the landscape even when the unique flowers are done blooming. Plus, the faintly odorous bulbs also repel burrowing pests, such as voles.
