This regal and sophisticated variety features unforgettable, deep maroon single blooms that open a mere 4–6 weeks after planting. Several will emerge, opening on multiple stems that reach 35–45 cm in height. This makes the stalks a bit more compact than most amaryllis but sturdy enough to provide plenty of flower support. Force it indoors, and Vixen will deliver its floral gifts right around the holiday season, allowing relatives and other revelers to admire their beauty. - Winter CareReduce amount of water given around early August, allow bulbs to ripen and go into a dormant state for 6-8 weeks. Bring out of cool dark storage after 6-8 weeks to begin growth.
